Last Wednesday 7th July, P&W attended the D&AD New Blood Festival at The Old Truman Brewery in Shoreditch.
The New Blood Festival brings students, recent graduates and other young creatives and industry professionals together for Fringe events and an exhibition.
The Fringe offers talks, workshops, screenings and tours of top agencies and studios. The exhibition sees universities showcasing the very best student’s work from the past year and gives industry professionals the chance to meet new talent. For young creatives, the fantastic event is a unique opportunity to network and get portfolio advice and feedback on their recent work.
To view this year’s winners, go to www.dandad.org/en/d-ad-new-blood-awards-pencil-winners.
P&W wish the students who showcased at the event (and all Pencil winners!) the best of luck as they take off into the industry!
Whether you partook in D&AD’s New Blood and won a Pencil and/or are a student/ graduate hoping to gain experience at a London design studio, please email P&W at info@p-and-w.com and we will let you know our availability. We love it when work placement’s join our team and its a great opportunity for you to get an insight into the way our highly skilled team operate, increase your skills and knowledge, network and clarify your own career goals.
We know you go to a lot of effort to partake in placements, so we try our best to immerse you in the studio experience (we sometimes even manage to sneak in a creative lunch or breakfast!) Depending on the projects we are working on, we may even be able to take you on a professional photo-shoot so you can see how the all-important photography art direction works.
