Making kids' lunchtime snacks more of an adventure with the help of Paddington bear. P&W helped fruit smoothie snack brand GoGo squeeZ with its promotional team-up, just as its target demographic goes back to school.
Brand managers from Bel Group requested P&W’s creative input with designing a range of promotional Paddington GoGo squeeZ packs. The packs give shoppers the chance to get their paws on one of more than 1,000 Paddington prizes, including Paddington rucksacks, figurines, umbrellas and a two-night family adventure at Port Lympne Safari Park. P&W’s strategy was to ensure the beloved Paddington character took the spotlight, to create a sense of fun and energy, without impeding legibility of other important information on packs.
Across its purees (such as Apple Mango) as well as its Yogurtz pouches (including Strawberry), P&W designed promotional boxes for the campaign. Featuring an illustrative iteration of the lovable bear in his signature blue coat and red hat, packs are designed to make Paddington the star of the show whilst synergising with the recognisable GoGo squeeZ brand assets. On front of pack, he is enclosed in a vibrant semi-circle holding device, welcoming shoppers to join the adventure. This colour blocking continues onto a cheerful side of pack facia which contains other important information for shoppers wishing to enter the competition.
The competition launched August 2023, so we are yet to discover how the promotion has affected sales results for the GoGo squeeZ brand, but they are eagerly anticipated. Initial feedback from brand managers has been overwhelmingly positive. Plus, with each puree pouch made from 100% providing one of your five a day, it’s a no-brainer for parents and guardians for lunchboxes and healthy after-school snacking.
I very much enjoy working with Pemberton & Whitefoord LLP for their dedication to the projects they work on, their capacity to adapt to change and their availability. I've had the chance to work with them throughout my career in two companies across very different brands and I hope to do it again. P&W never missed a deadline and always respected the allocated budget for the project.
